This morning we went to 2 cats restaurant. Most of you know we love cats so we were drawn to it right away and lucky us they had a good menu. Our plan is this is our only breakfast out in Maine. When we got there, there was a 20 minute wait. We got coffee and sat in the waiting area ( a beautiful well manicured garden outside). When people who arrived after us were being seated, we reminded the hostess we were waiting. She said she has a four top open but no two tops yet. Jon, not being himself, said that's fine we will share with two others. To my amazement a young couple said yeah we will share with them. We sat down to breakfast with Brian and Diane from Wilkes-Barre, PA (Thats wilkes berry yeah were educated and its one of THREE cities with a hyphen in the US). They were school teachers (both of them) and were on one last vacation before going back to work. It was kind of weird in the beginning to eat in a small cramped restaurant with two complete strangers but we all warmed up quick and had great conversations with each other.
Next we went to what we thought was an IGA grocery store, it was but they were out of a lot of stuff and very small (5 isles). We got groceries and headed back to the cabin. We think we got enough ingredients for Lobster enchiladas, lobster pasta with cream sauce, lobster rolls, and lobster omelets. Not bad for a hole in the wall IGA, we will see if we can pull this off! Stay tuned.
In the afternoon we went to Atlantic Brewing, which lucky for us is a short walk from out cabin. We got a tour and managed to get bit by many Mosquitos. Stellar!
After that we went and got lobsters from the next person we saw with even cheaper lobsters. We got 2 live lobsters/3 pounds for 15.50. Now we're talking. We are cooking them ourselves Jack McDonald style! We made New York strip steak, lobsters and salad for dinner!
